Digital Goa, Dec 19 – Smuggled gold worth Rs 2.22 crore was seized at Mopa Airport by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence(DRI). Two persons identified as Nitesh Saini from Uttar Pradesh and Mohammad Rafiq from Rajasthan have been arrested. DRI intercepted the passenger Nitesh who had arrived from Abu Dhabi by Indigo flight 6E 1506. The gold weighing 3.5 kg was concealed in check-in-bag. Rafiq had arrived to receive the gold.
