South Goa Collector has reiterated that Mamlatdars and Joint Mamlatdars are authorised to process, certify and dispose of land mutation applications on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and after office hours. In a circular dated October 22, the Collector directed officials to strictly follow the Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) issued on December 24, 2024, and dispose of applications within its prescribed timelines, subject to statutory requirements. Officials must ensure proper scrutiny, service of notices, hearing of objections and reasoned orders, while keeping records updated in the relevant registers and Dharani software, states the circular. Mamlatdars must regularly review pending applications, with Deputy Collectors and Sub-Divisional Officers monitoring compliance, it further adds.
