South Goa MP mentions Dev Khapreshwar temple demolition issue in parliament

Digital Goa, Mar 10 – South Goa Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Captain Viriato Fernandes today mentioned the the issue of Dev Khapreshwar temple demolition in the parliament. Alleging that the highway expansion was for facilitating transportation of coal, he said, “Lord Khapreshwar temple was demolished by authorities to facilitate this expansion. For what? And the people who tried to save the temple have been booked,” he added. He further went on to point out that a lady Sarpanch was booked yesterday for fighting against railway expansion, which he again alleged was for coal transportation.
