Digital Goa, Feb 2 – In an embarrassment of sorts for the Goa govt, Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar today accused Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude of involvement in misappropriation of funds, and demanded an inquiry in the matter. Tawadkar made the allegations while speaking to media persons outside the state legislative assembly. Members of some village panchayats in Canacona had alleged yesterday that several organisations had fraudulently obtained funds to the tune of Rs 26.85 lakh from Art & Culture Dept for cultural programs, which they alleged never took place. Gaude had said that he would initiate inquiry in the matter. According to Tawadkar, Gaude was in know of the scam. He also demanded inquiry against Gaude and his department.
