Dec 17 – The Bill for enabling reservation of seats for ST community in the State Legislative Assembly came for discussion in the Lok Sabha today. The Readjustment of Representation of Scheduled Tribes in Assembly Constituencies of the State of Goa Bill, 2024 was placed before the Lok Sabha for discussion today. Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal moved the motion for consideration and passage of the Bill. Along with South Goa Congress MP Captain Viriato Fernandes, 12 other MPs across India participated in the debate. The discussion on the bill was not concluded today and will continue tomorrow.
