Aug 28 – Proposed Rs 700 crore CSR funding through IIT Alumni Council will help Goa establish a sustainable transport system in the State, opined CM Pramod Sawant. Cabinet today approved the proposal in this regards. CS Puneet Kumar Goel has been instrumental in getting the CSR funding through his batchmates, informed Sawant. The money will be used to procure around 500 EV buses which will be operated under KTCL. Govt is also mulling setting up charging stations across the state using PPP model.
