State pays tribute to first CM Bhausaheb Bandodkar; Memorial at Miramar to finally get a facelift

Digital Goa, Aug 12 – Renovation work of Bhausaheb Bandodkar memorial at Miramar that commenced today will be completed within a year, informed CM Pramod Sawant. He was speaking at the program organised to commemorate the 50th death anniversary of the first Chief Minister of Goa. Various programs including a memorial lecture by renowned scientist Dr Raghunath Mashelkar have been organised by govt. Acknowledging the huge contribution of the late CM to rural education in Goa, Sawant said that his govt will ensure that no school remains without repairs by this year end. Bhausaheb Bandodkar Memorial Trophy (Football) will be organized annually by the Goa Govt, in collaboration with the Goa Football Development Council, Directorate of Sports & Goa Football Association, with the aim of fostering football development in Goa, he added.
