Feb 3- Beneficiaries of government schemes will face penalties if their cattle are found wandering on roads and public areas, warned Animal Husbandry Director Dr Nitin Naik. Stray animals will be impounded and handed over to NGOs for shelter at Gaushalas, he added. Subsidy beneficiaries will also risk losing their entire subsidy amount when authorities crack down on the cattle, he asserted further.
