Suleman’s ‘fake video’ statement to media an attempt to dissuade witnesses ; forensic examination of videos underway: Police

Feb 13- Goa police today claimed that serial offender Siddiqui alias Suleman Khan’s ‘fake video’ statement to journalists outside the Panaji Court two days back were intended to dissuade witnesses from providing their statements to police or court in land grab and other cases against him. Suleman had alleged that police made him do the second ‘fake’ video at gun point. He had also alleged and that his life was in danger in the custody. 7 land grab cases against Siddiqui alias Suleman Khan are being investigated- 4 at Mapusa police station and one each at Old Goa, Valpoi and Anjuna. Police further informed that chargesheet pertaining to his escape has been filed in the court. His mobile phones have been seized and sent to the Goa Forensic Science Laboratory for forensic examination. A forensic analysis has been asked of all videos either made, received or sent from his mobile phone, police added.
