July 27 – The famous Carnival of Goa, Sunburn Festival, Shigmotsav, International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and an International Purple Festival for the persons with Disability (Divyangs) are just a few examples of happenings that have put Goa on the Global cultural map. These events not only attract tourists but also provide a platform for local artists and entrepreneurs, said CM Pramod Sawant in his address to the 9th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog in New Delhi.
▪️ Suspensions of erring drivers revoked only after completion of training
The Government in its efforts to reduce the fatalities on road, has taken measures to curb the road accidents through project called “TRUST” “Traffic Rules Understanding and Safety Training” which is a driver refresher training as mandated under Section 19 Motor Vehicle Act, 1988. Under this initiative, sensitization trainings are being provided to drivers whose licenses have been suspended. The suspensions are revoked only after successful completion of this training, said CM in his address.
