Digital Goa, Aug 27 – People organising music festivals should not think that they can make the Goa govt dance to their tunes, said Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte while responding to query on proposed organisation of Sunburn EDM Festival at Mopa. “Goa govt is in no mood to dance at the tune of Sunburn organisers,” he said. Khaunte said he will discuss with CM Sawant in this regards. He alleged that last year the organisers did not even keep to their promise of prominent space for Goan artists to perform at Sunburn. The EDM Festival is being held at Vagator beach in the month of December for past several years. The Sunburn Organisers have already announced an impressive lineup of singers and musicians from across the globe and also started selling tickets for the event which, they claim is scheduled to be held in Goa from Dec 28 to Dec 31. Incidentally, the early bird phase I tickets have also already been sold out. The organisers have however added that the actual venue is yet to be announced. Some of the village panchayats in the vicinity of Mopa are opposing the festival while few others have welcomed the festival at Mopa. The Mopa Vimantal Panchcroshi Pidit Jan Sanghathana has also opposed the festival.
