Digital Goa, May 22 – TCP Department has approved six proposals for conversion of 27,549 square metres of land to settlement zone under the controversial Section 39-A provisions of the TCP Act and has invited objections and suggestions from the public within 30 days. The proposed land conversions are located in the villages of Reis Magos, Thivim, Oxel, Calangute, Cuncolim and Chorao. Notably, the largest parcel measuring 19,892 square metres in Chorao, proposed for conversion, is situated near an archaeological site.
