TCP dept removes 10 % coverage restriction on maximum permissible built up area of 1,000 m2 for farm houses is agricultural zones

Digital Goa, Aug 17 The Town & Country Planning (TCP) department has notified changes in the recently notified amendment to the Goa Land Development and Building Construction (Amendment) Regulations, 2023. The amendment that paves the way for farmhouses to be built in agricultural zones is further modified to remove the 10 % coverage requirement. As per the latest notification in the expression “The maximum built-up area permissible for a farmhouse irrespective of the area of the plot will be 1,000m2 or 10% coverage whichever is lower,” the “1000 m2 or 10% Coverage whichever is lower” is to be read as “1000 m2” . Govt had issued amendment to the Act on Aug 9 while the modification notification has been issued on Aug 11.
