Digital Goa, Aug 24 – TCP dept has now done away with yet another restriction on grant of additional height and FAR to construction proposals in villages. TCP can now grant the additional height and FAR to the proposals on case to case basis without the earlier restriction of “20% permitted in the prevailing Regulations.” TCP dept has issued amendment to the recently notified Goa Land Development and Building Construction Regulations, 2023 to this effect. The new notification states, “The Government on recommendation of the Town and Country Planning Board shall grant additional height and FAR to the proposals on case to case basis in consideration of the locational aspect, nature of development, use proposed, information available and on any such other criteria, if required.” The restriction, “Such relaxation shall however not be relaxed for more than 20% permitted in the prevailing Regulations,” has been done away with.
