Digital Goa, Jan 6 – TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane has assured that parts of Penha de France village panchayat which were included in the Panaji Planning area will be removed from there, informed Porvorim MLA and Minister Rohan Khaunte. Rohan was speaking to media persons in the presence of Rane. The Penha de France village panchayat area was included in the notification issued by TCP defining limits of the Panaji Planning area in view of the presence of government buildings such as Assembly complex, Secretariat and the High Court building, informed Khaunte. The TCP Minister has assured that excluding these areas rest of the panchayat area will be denotified, informed Rohan. The affected villagers had announced that a special gram sabha will be held in this regards on Sunday, Jan 8.
