Technology based solutions essential to prevent crimes like Wednesday’s taxi driver assault opines CM

Digital Goa, 11, July – Technology and digitisation are the only ways to prevent crimes in the tourism sector such as Wednesday night’s taxi driver assault incident, asserted CM Pramod Sawant. He was speaking at the inauguration of the new office premises of the Directorate of Prosecution. Sawant said that if taxi services in Goa were app-based, the police could have quickly tracked the booking and nabbed the culprits in a short span of time. All stakeholders in tourism must support the adoption of technology and innovation to ensure safety and efficiency, he said. He further asserted on the need for digitisation is essential across all sectors.

Digital Goa, 11, July – All old government department offices will be shifted to new premises within the next two years, informed Sawant while speaking at the event. Taluka level courts are also being renovated, he said.
