Digital Goa, August 2 – Agacaim Police have booked the 18-year-old driver of the Ford EcoSport that crashed and caught fire on NH-66 near the Siridao flyover in the early hours of August 1, killing one passenger and injuring two others. According to police, the 18-year-old resident of Aquem, Margao, was allegedly driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol when he lost control on a curve near Sainik Aaramghar at around 3.45 am. The SUV reportedly rammed into the crash barrier, plunged from the flyover onto the service road below and caught fire. The driver and another passenger, an 18-year-old Raia, sustained injuries. Yash Mehta (19) from Margao suffered grievous injuries and was declared brought dead at GMC Hospital, Bambolim.
