Thieves target 2 schools in South Goa; organised gang operation suspected

Digital Goa, Dec 26 – Thieves decamped with around Rs 70,000 cash from a school at Kudnem, Sakhali. The cash which was collected as exam fee from Std Xth students was kept by the school authorities in the office drawer. Thieves decamped with this cash. A complaint to this effect was lodged by the school Principal. In another similar incident, thieves targeted a school at Dharbandora, Mollem. However, as there was no cash or any other valuables in the school, they had to walk away empty handed. However, their activities have been captured in the CCTV. Police are suspecting that an organised gang is operating in the State are expecting that CCTV footage will give them requisite lead.
