Three Acts related to Regularisation of Unauthorized Construction on govt and Communidade land notified after governors assent

Digital Goa, September 2 – The three bills aimed at Regularisation of Unauthorized Construction on govt and Communidade land which were passed in the recently concluded assembly session have been assented by the Governor of Aug 26,2025 and have been notified by the govt. These include The Goa Legislative Diploma No. 2070 dated 15-4-1961 (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Goa Act 16 of 2025), Goa Land Revenue Code (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Goa Act 15 of 2025) and Goa Regularisation of Unauthorized Construction (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Goa Act 17 of 2025). In addition, The Indian Stamp (Goa Amendment) Act, 2025 (Goa Act 14 of 2025), has also received assent from the Governor on August 22, 2025, and has been published in the official gazette. The amendment reduces the stamp duty burden on mortgagors in certain cases when mortgaging property without giving possession and seeks to encourage the registration of trust deeds created for the benefit of family members.
