Three Cyber Fraud cases involving over ₹6.35 lakh reported in South Goa

Digital Goa, July 14 – Three online cheating cases involving a total of over ₹6.35 lakh were reported in Goa today. In the first case, a woman from Nuvem, Salcete, was allegedly cheated of ₹4.47 lakh after responding to a Facebook advertisement offering a part-time job. In the second case, a man from Bhatpal, Canacona, lost ₹90,000 after clicking on a link sent to his mobile phone by the accused on the pretext of updating the device. In the third case, a person from Mashem, Canacona, was allegedly cheated of ₹98,500 after unknown persons gained unauthorized access to his mobile phone and transferred the amount from his bank account.
