Three held for confining tourist and forcefully transferring Rs 30,000 through UPI transaction

Digital Goa, Oct 18 – Three persons were apprehended by Calangute police for allegedly confining a Karnataka tourist into a room, assaulting him and forcefully transferring Rs 30,000 from his account through UPI transaction on providing service through a club in Calangute. The accused are identified as 25-year-old Sharukhan, native of Haveri, Karnataka and presently residing at Almeidawado, Parra, 42-year-old Cyril Dias from Pernem and 32-year-old Avinash Patel, native of Daman and Diu but presently residing at Calangute. The victim tourist from Kolar, Karnataka 39-year-old Satishkumar Shetty had filed a complaint in this regards.
