Three Pakistani nationals on short-term visa asked to leave Goa; 17 on long-term visa under watch: CM

Digital Goa, April 25 -Three Pakistani nationals on short-term visas in Goa have been asked to leave the country following directions from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on the backdrop of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant informed today. He added that 17 Pakistani nationals residing in Goa on Long Term Visas (LTVs) are under government monitoring. “They are married to Goans and belong to different religions, including Hinduism, Islam and Christianity,” he said. Both men and women are among those staying on LTVs. Sawant was speaking to media persons after chairing a high-level joint review meeting with security agencies, including the Goa Police, CISF, Navy, and Coast Guard, along with senior government officials and collectors of both districts.
