Three prime accused in Mungul assault case surrender before police

Digital Goa, Oct 3- In a major development in the Mungul brutal assault case, the three prime accused — Amogh Naik, Valley D’Costa and Prakash Karbar — surrendered before the police on Friday. Superintendent of Police (South) Tikam Singh Verma confirmed the development, stating that the trio was being sent for arrest formalities. “So far, 25 persons have been arrested in connection with the case,” he added. The accused appeared before SP Verma along with their lawyer, who maintained that his clients had not been absconding but were at their respective homes. They have come before the police only for investigation purposes as all other options were exhausted, the lawyer told reporters.
