Oct 29 – Three Russians, including a mother-daughter duo, were rescued by lifesavers from drowning off Morjim beach on Tuesday evening.
The mother, aged 37 years and her eight-year-old daughter were swimming in the sea, when they drifted deeper into the water. Seeing them in distress, their friend, a 41-year-old Russian male, swam in their direction in order to assist their return to the shore, but he too was pulled deeper by the strong current. All 3 were rescued by lifesavers.
