Three sentenced to life imprisonment in 2017 Calangute Fish Market Murder Case

Digital Goa, May 30 – Three persons have been sentenced to life imprisonment in 2017 Calangute Fish Market Murder Case. Additional District Court-I sentenced the 3 Calangute resident accused, Joseph Sequeira, Ceon Fernandez and Mahesh Rampal to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 each for grievously assaulting Tyrone Nazareth on June 24 leading to his death. Tyrone who also had criminal record was attacked with knife and chopper by the trio at the Calangute Fish Market over previous enmity. Tyrone who was shifted to the hospital after the attack succumbed to injuries. The accused persons were absconding after the crime and were nabbed from Mollem checkpost while they were attempting to reenter Goa. Incriminating evidences presented by the police team lead by DySP Jivba Dalvi aided in pronouncing of judgment in the case.
