Digital Goa, Aug 8 – When tiger reserve comes in force as per the directions of the High Court, the fate of interstate Goa Tamnar Transmission Project is likely to be in limbo, opined Power Minister Sudin Dhavlikar. When Aldona MLA Carlos Alvares Ferreira questioned the power minister over the impact of the tiger corridor on the project on the floor of the house, he said, “I don’t have answer on this. It is not decided yet. But, if tiger reserve comes in force then there may be complications”. The assembly saw a heated debate on the project today with opposition demanding scrapping of the project alleging that it is detrimental to the environment. The Tamnar project entails the laying of 240 kms of transmission lines through Goa and Karnataka for strengthening the current grid network.
