Digital Goa, Oct 14 – Scheduled closure of Tillari canal for repair and maintenance has been postponed to avoid water shortage during the oncoming National Games. WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar said that the canal work has been postponed due to National Games. He said the work will commence after the National Games are over, however it will be finished by the earlier announced deadline i.e. Dec 15. It was earlier announced that the work will start on Oct 10 and end on Dec 15. Incidentally, National games are to be held from Oct 25 to Nov 9 in Goa.
