Digital Goa, May 29- Goa government has launched the “Traditional Occupations and Skills: Documentation and Research for Improving Local Livelihoods” (TOS-DRILL) scheme to document and promote traditional skills and occupations. The scheme, implemented by the Goa State Research Foundation(GSRF), aims to support research and collaborations aimed at revitalising traditional livelihoods and cultural practices. Grants of up to Rs 5 lakh will be available per project, with a total funding limit of Rs 1 crore annually. Eligible participants include faculty from Goa-based institutions, local artisans, and experts. Applications will be accepted until December 15, states the notification.
Goa Tourism dept makes registration mandatory for online travel aggregators
Digital Goa, May 29- Goa Tourism dept has mandated that all Online Travel Aggregators (OTAs) operating in the state register under the Goa Registration of Tourist Trade Act, 1982 and Rules of 1985. The move comes after it was found that many OTAs were accepting bookings without the required NOC, license, or permissions. OTAs have been given 15 working days from the issuance of the official circular to complete the registration process.
