Digital Goa, June 13 -Outside cab aggregators like Ola and Uber will not be coming to Goa, clarified Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today. He assured that the new guidelines apply only to transport aggregators within the state and do not pave the way for external players. Speaking to media persons after a meeting with MLAs Michael Lobo, Jit Arolkar, and taxi operators, Sawant said, “People should not get confused.” “We want to put the system in place,” he said. Sawant added that the issue will be resolved by taking all stakeholders—including taxi operators, hotel owners, and MLAs—into confidence. Taxi operators have strongly opposed the draft Transport Aggregator Guidelines released by the government on May 20, 2025, fearing that it could open the door to outside players. Stakeholders have been given 30 days to submit their feedback. The potential entry of outside aggregators was one of the key concerns raised by the taxi operators.
