Digital Goa, Feb 6- High Court has permitted ore transportation at Kalay Railway Station only till such time that balance of 2,025 metric tons of ore is transported from the station to the Adrem jetty. Once the remaining ore has been transported, the company has been asked to refrain from further handling of ore at the Kalay Railway Station until the Chief Wildlife Warden(CWW), Goa (R-3) gives decision in the matter. Court has also restrained the persons involved from acting on any decision of the Chief Wildlife Warden for a period of two weeks, to enable contesting of the decision, if required. The Court order came in a PIL filed by the Goa Foundation, which sought to argue that such activities could not be undertaken in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Goa Forward’s petition has been disposed by the Court.
