Digital Goa, July 30 – The Directorate of Transport has permitted payment of fees and taxes in cash and demand drafts, in addition to the existing online payment modes, following representations from members of the public facing difficulties with digital transactions. The decision partially modifies the department’s 2018 order issued under the Digital India programme, which had promoted payments through debit cards, credit cards and UPI. Demand drafts will be accepted subject to clearance.
