September 25 – Vasco police have arrested three individuals for allegedly abducting two residents of Kashmir for ransom and stealing their mobile phones. According to the complaint filed by victim Zahid Kashoo, he and his brother-in-law were lured to Goa through a criminal conspiracy. They claim they were abducted, held at unknown locations, and a ransom of Rs 10 lakh was demanded from their family. The accused, Shravan Chaudhary from Pune, Simon Saldanha from Cansaulim, and Andre Fernandes from Kharewaddo, Vasco, have been arrested and remanded to 7 days in police custody.
