Digital Goa, Dec 2 – Two persons were injured in a shocking incident around 7.45 am today, after an allegedly drunk driver reversed his car onto a footpath in Panaji. The driver first rammed into several parked two-wheelers and when confronted by bystanders, attempted to reverse the vehicle. Due to his intoxicated state and lack of control, the car mounted the footpath and hit two people standing outside a restaurant. One victim was crushed between the car and a shop shutter and has sustained serious injuries. According to the restaurant owner, the driver is reportedly from Nepal and employed at a nearby spa. Police investigation and further details are awaited.
