Nov 7 – The 2 lady constables who were arrested in Constable Prathamesh Gawde case for abetment to suicide have allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from the first floor of Colvale State Central Jail. The accused Taniksha Chauhan and Priti Chauhan have sustained injuries and have been admitted to District Hospital, Mapusa. Both have been suspended by the department pending inquiry. “We are innocent,” said one of the lady constables while speaking to media while being taken at the hospital.
