Digital Goa, May 31- Two minor girls aged 12 and 15 who were lured into eloping by offering a ‘better life’ by a duo from Karnataka were rescued from Hubli by Colvale police. Two accused from Hubli have been arrested in the matter. Police sprang into action after family members of the girls filed a complaint on May 29 that the girls had been kidnapped. Police said that the girls went to Hubli lured by the offer of ‘better life’ assured by the accused duo. The accused also induced them to get gold ornaments from their homes. The gold which they carried with them was taken by the accused duo and the girls were locked up in a room at Hubli, as per police. The accused Naveed Ahmad Paniband from Tippunagar, Nekarnagar road, Hubli and Tousif Killedar @ Munna from Dharwad Karnataka were apprehended by the police from Hubli. Both have confessed of effecting the crime. The gold ornaments which were sold to goldsmiths in Hubli by the accused duo has also been recovered. The case was cracked within 48 hours of registration of offences.
