Ponda, Goa — Two cases of alleged sexual harassment and unwanted advances are currently under investigation by local police in Goa. In Ponda, a 62-year-old man from Pernem is being investigated after a woman complained that from 2021 to January 2025, he sent her unwelcome sexually colored messages. The complainant stated that Petkar copied photos from her WhatsApp stories and sent sexual remarks. He allegedly attempted to molest her multiple times, outraging her modesty, and also threatened her husband with dire consequences. The investigation is being handled by LPSI Anjali Dhulapkar of Ponda Police Station. In a separate case in Nuvem, a woman has accused her driver, from Calata, of repeatedly sending unwanted WhatsApp messages and making voice and video calls since May 2025, despite her clear disinterest.
