Digital Goa, Aug 28 – Calangute Police today arrested two women and a man from Gujarat for blackmailing people by threatening rape cases against them. At least five FIRs are lodged by this gang in Goa and Gujarat against persons mostly from Gujarat. The racket was busted after one Kiran Patel from Gujarat filed complaint against two women for developing friendship and extorting Rs 2 lakh by threatening to file false complaint of rape against them. One man Vishwadeep Gohil from Bhavnagar, Gujarat is also arrested in the case. More such cases are likely to come to light.
