Digital Goa, Oct 24 – Goa govt launched the Swayampurna e-bazaar initiative aimed at giving market to different kinds of products made by self-help groups, local artisans and rural entrepreneurs. The initiative which will operate through the Swayampurna portal of Goa govt and Citizen Service Center(CSC) Grameen eStore app is presently in trial phase and will be made available for public from Nov 1. The products made by self help groups and rural entrepreneurs in Goa will be made available for people across India through the initiative, said CM during the launch. During Ganesh festival, govt had taken Swiggy as delivery partner for the e-bazaar initiative. Given that this preposition could be costly for the govt, it was decided to launch a self-sufficient platform, said Sawant. As on date, 26 groups have been trained on various facets of e-commerce- from FDA licensing to using the app to sell products online. E-bazaar trials will be held through these groups from Oct 25 to Oct 31. Once the process is streamlined, groups and individuals from all 191 panchayats will be brought on board, informed Sawant. Those wanting to sell their products through e-bazaar can register with the initiative by dialing 9262626262.
