Digital Goa, Oct 27 – Ambassador of the United States of America to India Eric Garcetti visited the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Laboratory in North Goa District Hospital, along with senior officials from USAID India and Goa’s health department. The focus areas highlighted by him include critical domains such as women’s cancer, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and the impacts of climate change. “The United States and India are partnering to strengthen lab systems and disease detection, which enhances global health security and demonstrates models for global application,” said Garcetti after the visit.
He also visited CM Pramod Sawant at Mantralaya today. “We discussed various aspects of economic, tourism, education, cultural cooperation among Goa and the USA,” said CM Sawant post the visit.
