Sept 10 – A 26-year-old person from Dehradun, Uttrakhand was detained with 6 live rounds (Ammunition) in his baggage at the Mopa Airport. The live bullets were found in the baggage of Anshul Ghai during security screening. Upon investigation by Mopa Police it was revealed that the bag containing live bullets (which were around 20-year-old) were given to Anshul by his aunt during his Pune visit on Sept 8, in memory of his uncle late Colonel Mahesh Ghai. Police said that they have independently confirmed the fact with the aunt of the accused. Anshul had arrived to Goa from Pune and was on his way home via Mopa Airport when the bullets were detected in his baggage by officers posted at Inline Screening Security & Vigilance at the Airport. Mopa Police have served the accused with Notice u/s 35 of BNSS and further investigation are in progress.
