Valid ID card must to gain access to churches at Old Goa feast: Police advisory

    Digital Goa, Nov 17- All visitors and devotees attending the Old Goa feast have been advised to carry a valid Identity Card or ID proof for access to the Churches. Goa policy issued an advisory related to safety and security measures today. It is advised not to carry bags, handbags, or additional luggage while visiting the Churches, the advisory adds. In the event of any visitor or devotee noticing a suspicious object or person or any unusual activity in the Church premises or its surroundings during the feast, an immediate report should be made to the Old Goa Police Station or Police Out Post on the premises of Bom Jesus Basilica Church, or by dialing 112 for prompt police action or assistance, it further specifies. The annual Feast of St Francis Xavier is scheduled to take place on Dec 4 with the Novenas starting from November 25.
