Digital Goa, Oct 28 – Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers has permitted employment of women at night in Verna based Pharma company Sanofi India Limited for a period of 2 years, as per provisions of amended Factories Act. The permission is however subject to fulfillment of several conditions ensuring safe, secure and healthy working condition such that no women worker is disadvantaged in connection with her employment. These include consent in writing of concerned women worker, CCTV cameras at workplace, transportation facility to pick-up and drop women worker at her residence, well lit workplace including passage towards conveniences or facilities concerning toilet, washrooms, drinking water, entry and exit of women worker, compliance with Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act or any other law in force, as applicable to the factory.
