May 7- Goa recorded approximate voting percentage of 76.06% till the end of polls, informed CEO Goa Ramesh Verma today. South Goa voting -74.47% , North Goa is 77.69%. Of the 11,79,344 voters 8,96,958 exercised their franchise while 2,82,386 (2.82 lakh) refrained from voting. Postal ballot and home voting have not been included in this data, Vermaadded. In 2019 Lok Sabah polls the voting percentage was 75 %.
▪️ *19 complaints received on poll day*
CEO Goa office received 19 complaints yesterday including a complaint about one of the candidates. “We have asked for factual report from the field in the case,” informed Verma. He also assured of proper action in time. 190 public complains were received by CEO Goa. Of the 38 MCC violation complaints 36 have been disposed, 2 are in process, he added.
▪️ *At Rs 17.82 crore, Enforcement agencies seizures 55% higher than 2019 polls*
Enforcement agencies seized cash, gold, liquor, drugs, worth Rs 17.82 crore in Goa since the model code of conduct came into force on Mar 16. The seizure is 40% higher than the 2022 state polls and 55% more than the seizure during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, informed Verma.
