Digital Goa, September 15, 2025 – CM Pramod Sawant on Monday said the Goa government is considering the suggestions put forward by the Mhadei Bachao Abhiyan (MBA) and remains serious about protecting the Mhadei river. “We will also hold discussions with the Advocate General and other counsels,” he said. During their meeting with the CM, MBA members had sought protection to visit the alleged diversion sites. Sawant clarified that such a visit would only be possible with prior permission from the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal. “We will not cross our boundaries,” he asserted.
