▪️ Open to dialogue with taxi operators post guideline feedback deadline: Mauvin
Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho on Tuesday said he is open to meeting taxi operators and other stakeholders on the taxi issue once the deadline for objections and suggestions on the draft Transport Aggregator Guidelines ends. The draft Goa Transport Aggregator Guidelines 2025 were released on May 20 and one month time has been given to stakeholders to give their objections and suggestions. Reiterating that the government is not against taxi operators, Godinho said, “They can even launch their own app if they wish.” He added that the draft guidelines will be reviewed by the party and Cabinet before finalising them. The aim is to ensure seamless transportation and curb the negative publicity Goa has been receiving over taxi-related issues, he said. Godinho declined to comment on Calangute MLA Michael Lobo’s recent statement opposing outside cab aggregators in Goa.
