Digital Goa, Sep 3 – Goa will ask the Mahadayi PRAWAH authority to urgently conduct a joint inspection with the State’s Mhadei team over the alleged diversion of water, CM Pramod Sawant said after a meeting with the Dept, Advocate General and the State’s legal team today. Sawant said that if the authority does not act urgently, Goa will seek the intervention of the Union Jal Shakti Ministry to get the inspection conducted. Sawant said the Authority has also been given the option to meet him independently to discuss the issue. The State’s legal team has also been asked to file an interlocutory application (IA) before the Supreme Court seeking expeditious hearing of the Mhadei matter, he added. The meeting was held a day after Sawant assured the Assembly during a discussion on the Mhadei diversion issue that he would convene the meeting.
