Aug 12 – Despite having MLA strength of 33 in 40 member state legislative assembly, introducing the bills and withdrawing them sends a message that ‘all is not well’, opined Calangute MLA Michael Lobo. Due thought process has to go into bills before they are introduced in the assembly and they have to be prepared in the interest of state and people, he asserted. Introduction and then withdrawal of the bills is not good for a healthy democracy, he said further adding, “It has not gone well with people.” We will discuss the issue with CM and State BJP President, he said.
When queried over cabinet reshuffle before Ganesh Chaturthi, he said it is prerogative of CM to decide on reshuffle.
