Digital Goa, November 30, 2025 – The Goa Women’s Forum (GWF) has written to the Director of Tourism requesting an investigation into the Goa Tantra Festival 2026, planned in Pernem taluka, citing concerns that the event could project Goa as a sex tourism destination. Copies were sent to the Chief Secretary, North Goa Collector, North Goa SP, Director of Panchayats, Chairperson of the Goa State Commission for Women, Deputy Collector Pernem, and Director of ARZ NGO. The move comes shortly after the state government banned a similar festival following objections from NGOs and civil society members.
