Digital Goa, Aug 16 – Condemning and rejecting the ‘unfair’ minimum wages hike recently notified by the government, Trade Unions in Goa have announced a mass protest on Tuesday, Aug 29 in Panaji. AITUC leader Christopher Fonseca called the Rs 100 hike done after 7 long years, unscientific, unjustified and unfair. He said that the last hike was effected in 2016. Fonseca said that nearly 3.5 to 4 lakh workers in Goa have been denied their right to get paid as per the work they put in.
