Digital Goa, Aug 7 – WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar said a 250 MLD water treatment plant at Sal will be operational by March 2026, with North Goa’s water crisis expected to end by December 2026. The government plans to desilt the Kushawati river to curb Paroda flooding, with NIO consultation, and urged raising road and bridge levels. He ruled out releasing command area and reaffirmed the goal to bring 10 lakh hectares under cultivation. Opposing borewells, Shirodkar hinted at a possible ban on new ones and called for strict action against illegal use while promoting lake and spring water
